5月21日 Chinese gangs in Shanghai?I'm starting to see "tags" around the city. Tags? That's the term for gang grafitti on walls around town to mark gang territories. They're always some symbol, like a devil's pitchfork or a specially designed letter or combination of letters, like GD for God's Desciples...or symbols for the Bloods or the Cripts, very famous black gangs in America.
I never saw grafitti on the walls 6 years ago, but now I'm starting to see a lot of it. I think some of it is the mark of gangs in the city. I was waiting for this to happen, and it's finally here again. Gangs! You can find a bandanna real cheaply down in the underground shopping area below Xu Jia Hui for only 6 RMB each. They're almost the same designs I used to stock in my own store in Houston, Texas.
